Your Partner is not your doula…

You may wonder the infamous question of why do I need a doula when I have a partner. What do you think your partner’s role in the labour room is? What do you think a doula’s role is in the labour room? Well for starters I will tell you what my role as a doula is. I am a support person who is trained and qualified to work with you by studying continuously books, articles, upcoming workshops, trainings from multiple organizations. This list goes on for whoever you may bring into the room. I assume you are understanding what I am getting at by now? By all means these people will support you in their own way. As do I as your doula supports you and your birth. Now if you have your partner in the room that is amazing! Let me tell you a little story. My grandmother who I call Oma had it much different. (let us also remember this is the 60’s) she was in a different country than her home town. She barely spoke English, my Opa was not allowed in the room and he spoke better English than she did. She could have used someone there to support her in that moment. Now of course it is a different day-an-age, but your partner is still not your doula. He is the person in the room who loves and knows you better than anyone else in the room. But if you don’t believe me how about you look at some of these questions that might change your mind. In the end you must ask yourself, do you want your partner to be your birth doula who has to keep some space between you so they can provide unbiased support, or do you want them to be your partner and love and honor you as your partner? It is totally fine if you don’t want a doula, YOU have that choice. But don’t tell people that your partner will be your doula. You have choices and we ask you to use your words with other people. So you don’t misinform them. play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women
Induction Season

Hope you are having a wonderful Induction Season! Do you know anyone with a due date around the upcoming holidays (New Years and Christmas) these are dates you don’t see too many babies born on? December 25 is the second least common day to be born on. Ranking first would be Leap day, and another uncommon day is January 1. For those who may be feeling pressure to induce earlier than 39 weeks, ACOG now recommends elective induced labour should not occur before 39 weeks of gestation. We hear the most common “reasons”: “Your baby is too big”, or “low amniotic fluid”. Now there are times when inductions are needed, I was due fathers’ day and born in July and my mom was induced and there were a few rounds of being induced. But that is why you must have informed consent, and this is something you should learn more about. You can ask as many questions as you want, and you also want to make sure to use your B R A I N. Check further points about inductions in later blog posts if you want hands-on questions you are more than welcome to email me or send me a text and I will help. If you want, you can join Womb Buddies on FB and in April 2020 we will be doing an Induction talk. play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women
How Doulas Support Partners

Having a doula on your team is totally your call for what kind of birth you want. First of all, your partner is not your doula and just can’t be. Just like your doula can’t be your partner. (unless there is a story here not told.) Your partner has intimate knowledge about you. S/he has always been there for you through different things that your doula has not been. Your doula has intimate knowledge about birth. She has seen placentas. She has seen many women breastfeed, she has experienced birth and everything that comes with it. So, since we are two different people, we can support partner just as much as momma giving birth. So how can your doula help your partner? We don’t help in birth alone. Do you know how much a doula does to support families? We help with other things as well, fertility, birth, and postpartum, some have sleep consultant training and so much more that is available. Most doulas offer a sliding scale to work with your financial needs to support you and your family. Doula’s bring plans & agendas. A doula’s main focus is the momma and her wants and needs but becoming a good team can bring happiness to the entire family. To work as a team with the partner you need to fully understand the partner, his needs and worries. So, in the long run, we come to help everyone and let fear not be a part anymore. Partners need to break as well. Labour and Birth can be long… they can make you wish that you could sleep for days. Sometimes you want to eat or rest. But you don’t want to leave while she might need you the most. Having a doula can allow you to take a rest and let the doula stay with momma. Give Partners ideas on how to help. Sometimes and most times partners don’t know much about birth. (Doula’s have trained and know a lot about birth) Sometimes a partner dreams about being very involved but sometimes things don’t go as imagined. Doulas provide opportunity and the knowledge to understand how to do it. Translation to English, please. Have you ever heard the doctor tell you something and not know what they were talking about? Did you wish someone was there to explain? Or you wanted to shout out that the doc needs to say it in English? Doulas can help be your translator. Most times they will have the information you need on hand and let you know what the doctor means. Doula’s are a helpful resource. We are not there to replace anyone on your birth team but add to the team. If your partner is on the fence about hiring a doula try to get a meeting and let the doula explain in person how they can help you AND your partner play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women play youtube play youtube Brazzer xnxx xvideos porn hentai tiktok download 2002 World Series free Hentai I Need A Loan Todayminecraft Chunk Borders phim xxx Tracksuit Set Women
Partners and Their Role in Birth

I remember something my mother told me about my grandmother. Giving birth to my mother was the year 1963. My mother has told me the story a lot as it was the reason why my mother was the last child. She was not very good at speaking English. My grandfather was not allowed in the room. She didn’t understand some of what was going on with these doctors and because of language barriers, she was tied down. Different time, and a different atmosphere but without my grandfather, she was lost, and the birth was more difficult. Saying that timing is a big difference. Back in the olden days, men weren’t inthe room. (You see this a lot in Call the Midwives.) Nowadays men are socially acceptable in the room and NEEDED. We hear about Oxytocin and with the help of the “love hormone,” it can really help smooth labour along. The relationship between you and your partner has it can be helpful at this time when your body needs it the most. Links will be below for the following information but the amazing proof that partners need to be there for momma. Research states that if the father is absent from the birth that it can lead to different health problems with the momma and baby. I have seen births where the partners have been extremely hands-on and it can be very crucial to the way the birth moves and goes on. If anything, partners are very needed in the birth room. It is usual for there to be nerves before birth not just for the momma but also for the partner. Don’t be afraid as a team you will work much better than alone.
