What does a pp visit consist of?

Frequently Asked Questions

No! A postpartum doula’s focus is on the entire family where as a night nurse focuses primarily on newborn care, infant feeding, and sleep.

If you want to mix packages together, you totally can. Maybe you want more prenatals, or more sessions, we can arrange something. I am flexible.

Sadly, doula care is not covered by provincial health care. Some insurance companies may cover a doula but it depends on which organization the doula is trained through. Most doulas (myself included) offer sliding scale, payment plans, and more, so do reach out if you are needing support.

You can hire a postpartum doula as soon as you find out your expecting, or even a couple weeks before your due date. Sometimes people even hire once baby is born. Though, it is recommended that you book sooner rather than later due to doula availability as well as forming a closer relationship with your doula.
