Maybe I just complain but I hate flu season! What do you think about the flu season?

I hate getting colds and that nauseous feeling. It is an awful feeling overall. Here are some ways that you can naturally protect your body a bit and even shorten your time.

The flu can last for two weeks but it has been known to go over 2 weeks. If this is happening contact your doctor ASAP.

These tips work for when you have a cold as well. But we all know it is called FLU SEASON, not cold season.

Tips to Help Prevent
  • Foods High in Vitamin C (oranges, grapefruits, kiwis…)
  • Foods High in Zinc (Eggs, Chicken Breast, Chickpeas…)
  • Elderberry Syrup (You can buy local or certain companies are now selling)
  • Rosehips (Most syrups ^ have rosehips added but they are good to for immune building)
  • Washing your hands before every meal.
  • Washing your hands after personal contact. (hugs, handshakes…)

Tips to Help During Flu/Cold

  • Keep your fluids up. (As my mother says the more you pee the more it flushes it out.)
  • Honey (this can help with soothing and suppressing coughs and throats.

Tips to Help with Bringing a Fever Down
  • Tepid Bath or Shower
  • Drink Cool Beverages
  • Light Clothing
  • Light Bedding
